- How are you feeling about Kouhaku?
π: Personally, I don't think it is a show I could have any connection with...
π: Your word choice...
π: When I saw Kouhaku's pannel I thought "This isn't a joke, right?" > It's a show I truly wanted to go to, but I thought it was impossible for us to. However, I couldn't give it up.
π: Don't give up /laughs/
π: Sounds like Maya Miki-san /laughs/ (T/N: an actress)
- You also said you were unrelated to Kouhaku
π: That was "in a good way"
π: Explaing the good way, please /laughs/
π: KAT-TUN were formed through NHK's show "Pop Jam", and we had our first solo concert at the International Forum which felt like a wonder on so many aspects, so I'm really looking forward to it
- What do you think about Kouhaku's tuning?
π: It was nostalgic when I got into the dressing room of our first solo live
π: I felt this "Connection" under so many points of view. When we got up on the stage, the staff came to us and told us "We've been waiting for you! Do the 'Shitauchi' (Real Face tongue click) to that camera", and that made me really happy. I also said I'll do the tongue click properly! We are going to sing out debut song, so I want to make sure everyone sees it.
- Ueda-san has changed his hair colour, what is it about?
π: Since we're on NHK I wanted to look more docile /laughs/
- Looking back to this year, if you had to describe it with one word, what would it be?
π: Surely γεγ(katsu: victory). When we were formed, Johnny-san said: "YOU are the character of victory, it'll be your luck", and I felt it during this year. We were also aware of the fact that we have to overcome this situation the whole world is in. We're going to win!
π: It's γηΆγ(zoku: continuation). Even our 15th anniversary is so, we have been through a lot of things and we could see a lot of things too. I feel a big sense of gratitude and I'm also really happy that we got the chance to perform for Kouhaku, which made me feel that "Preserving through something difficult makes one stronger" (T/N: it's a Japanese expression: ηΆηΆγ―εγͺγ keizoku wa chikara nari)
π: Thank you. -as if he was ending the interview-
π: Hey, hey, will there be only 2 of KAT-TUN?
π: We were 15 at first /laughs/
- What is Nakamaru-san's kanji (to describe this year)?
π: I'll go for γεγ(yorokobu: rejoice). It was a year full of many happy moments. We've always had various things happening around the time of our anniversaries, which never gave us the chance to experience a real festival out of them. We felt rather sad that we couldn't have such an experience, for this we felt that also people from the staff around us wanted to make it something>> dazzling and looking back at it, I think we could make it so this year.
- What do you think about the comment "It looks like a KAT-TUN-like pose" that you made at the photoshoot?
π: We thought we should use the pose we did before our debut. -Making a K with fingers- At that time we were a little rebellious, so it came out as "Isn't it kind of a poor work"... /laughs/. Again, we thought it would be good as a "KAT-TUN pose" and said "It's our style", however now I recognise this is "KAT-TUN's pose".

However, he still wanted to stay with his group. I was crying when I see Ueda-chan in " Honoo no Taiiku kai TV" β " I don't think of anything except KAT-TUN now " he has said this in tears after all the departures of the used to be 6 member group :((((( I wish all best things will come to them in next year, for us too <3

Aaak I remember that Taiikukai bit and it made me cry together with him... Ueda (and Nakamaru too, ofc) truly loves and cherishes KAT-TUN so much π

I don't speak English, but I can understand your translations using google. Iβm also very happy with the videos you can share because I know a little bit of Japanese and I can see them and I understand a fraction of what they say.

Same here! Back then there were so many sources to get stuff, it's a pity lots of them are off. That's why I started sharing and translating, since I figured lots of people, just like me, would like to have stuff too. Ever since I became a fan around 11 years ago, I always said I'd like to contribute in the fandom when I'd start learning Japanese, and since I did I just kept my word xD
It really makes me happy to be helpful here π
